Who this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Neighbors First Insurance collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit our website, request a quote, apply for coverage, or become a client. It also explains the choices you have.

Details needed for a quote, such as your date of birth, driver's license number, vehicles, drivers, property details, business information, payroll, and prior insurance and claims.
For life insurance and annuities, health, medical, financial, and beneficiary information you provide on an application.
Anything you include in a message, or a resume you send through our careers page.

Information collected automatically

When you visit the site, we and our service providers may collect your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and how you arrived, using cookies and similar technologies.

Information from others

With your authorization or as the law allows, insurers may obtain motor vehicle records, claims history databases, consumer reports, and medical information bureau reports to underwrite your application.

How we share information

We share personal information only as needed to serve you and run our agency:

Insurance companies and underwriters we represent, so they can quote, issue, and service your policy.
Service providers who help us operate, such as our agency management system, email, phone, and website hosting providers. They may use your information only to perform services for us.
Advertising partners, such as Meta, which receive website activity and hashed contact details through the Meta Pixel to measure and deliver our ads, as described under "Cookies, analytics, and advertising" below.
Legal and regulatory reasons, such as responding to a subpoena, a state insurance regulator, or to prevent fraud.
Business transfers, if our agency is merged or sold, in which case your information would remain protected by this policy.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messages

If you agree to receive text messages, we use your mobile number only to communicate with you about your quotes, appointments, and policies. We keep a record of your consent, including the wording you agreed to and when. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes, and text messaging opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies and similar tools to remember your preferences and understand how visitors use our site.

Google Analytics. We use Google Analytics, a service from Google LLC, to understand how visitors find and use our site, such as which pages are viewed and whether a form was submitted. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information like your browser, device, and general location; it does not receive the contact details you enter in our forms. Meta Pixel. We use the Meta Pixel, a tool from Meta Platforms, Inc. (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to measure how well our ads work and to show our ads to people who have visited our site. The pixel collects information such as the pages you view, the actions you take (for example, submitting a quote or contact form), and your browser and device information.

Advanced matching. When you submit a form, the pixel may also use contact details you entered, such as your email address, name, and ZIP code (not your phone number), to match your visit to a Meta account. These details are hashed (converted into scrambled code) in your browser before they are sent, and Meta uses them only to measure and deliver ads. Other than the type of coverage you asked about, we do not send the answers to your quote questions, such as health or financial details, to Meta.

Your choices. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you do. You can control the ads you see on Facebook and Instagram in your Meta ad preferences, and learn more in Meta's Privacy Policy. To ask us to opt you out of targeted advertising, contact us using the details below.

How we protect information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including limiting access to staff who need it and using secure systems to store client files. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so please don't send sensitive information, such as Social Security or medical details, through our general contact form.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information as long as needed to provide our services and to meet record-keeping requirements for insurance agencies, and then delete or securely dispose of it.

Your choices and rights

You can opt out of marketing emails and texts at any time. Depending on where you live, and on the type of information involved, you may also have the right to:

Ask what personal information we have about you and get a copy.
Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal record-keeping requirements.
Opt out of targeted advertising or profiling, where that applies.

Children's privacy

Our website is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the site. Information about minors, such as a teen driver on an auto policy, is collected only from a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. If we make significant changes, we'll let clients know directly.
